mason jar lights are up, floor is in, paint is chosen, counters are in. I still need to paint, clean every single item in the kitchen, restock all the cabinets, move in the furniture, et cetera.
My biggest focus right now, especially when I am awake at night, is doing a custom mosaic backsplash. Is this too big a project?
I mean, really. I haven't done a mosaic for decades. I've never done a big mosaic project. This house needs to be sell-able when we are done with it(there go all the purple CZ I could include!).
so, I have decided that first, I need to make it removeable, and two... I CAN make it.
Plan is to use hardiboard or wonderboard as the base, then screw it to the wall. That means I can work on a smallish segment at a time, undo it if I hate it, and change things up some. I will have to adjust the outlet boxes so that the outlets aren't buried in 1/2" of tile/board/mortar/grout.
